Photographed by Kathy White, Tidal Curve focuses on the distinctive form of The Cobb in Lyme Regis, Dorset – a historic stone harbour wall along England’s Jurassic Coast. Its sweeping curve has long been both a functional sea defence and an iconic coastal landmark, shaping the shoreline and sheltering the harbour from the force of the Channel. In this composition, the structure becomes the defining visual element, guiding the viewer through the frame while anchoring the movement of the tide against a recognisable and enduring piece of British coastal engineering.
