About this photography print

Reflective Calm was photographed within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park during foggy autumn conditions when visibility across the water had almost completely disappeared. The mist removes depth from the landscape and leaves only the shoreline trees and reeds emerging from the pale background, giving the image a quiet graphic structure that works particularly well as a black and white wall print.

The composition relies heavily on spacing and tonal control. The darker line of reeds anchors the centre of the frame, while the reflections below create vertical rhythm without feeling overly symmetrical.
