Description

St. Mary's is a classic looking lighthouse just north of Whitley Bay near Newcastle. The sunrise has been expertly captured in this photographic wall art as the light rays illuminate the side of the lighthouse. It was built on the site of a monastery where a small sanctuary light would have acted as a guide to passing ships. The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1984.
