Reynisdrangar are groups of basalt stacked along the sea near the village of Vik in southern Iceland. According to local legend the stacks came from when two giant trolls tried to drag a three-masted ship to the beach but were unsuccessful. When daylight broke they turned into needles of rock. Whether this is true or not will remain a mystery, but what cannot be denied is what a great piece of black and white wall art this is.
