Old Venice

This photograph taken on the Grand canal in Venice shows a typical view of the beautiful architecture you will see within this romantic city in Italy. A textured effect has been added to create a timeless atmosphere to the ancient buildings. A city for meanderers, Venice rewards every minute devoted to exploring the many intertwined lanes. And while millions stream into this tiny city, it's easy enough to find peace and discover the extraordinary: after all, barely a building here isn't a unique monument of some sort. Parts of the Cannaregio, Dorsoduro and Castello sestieri are near empty of tourists. Lose yourself in the labyrinth of one hundred and fifty canals, connected by an amazing four hundred and nine bridges! Who can forget the romantic side of Venice? Although it can be hot and stuffy in summer, when the tourists flock, it is nonetheless one of the most romantic cities for lovestruck Venice vacationers. With the image of an inky-blue sky laden in a full moon and dotted with stars; above a glowing cityscape, seen from a tiled square bordered by Italian words and Pizza outlets, it's no wonder.
