This photograph captures a very bright and colourful field in England, full of red poppies on a summers day.
The poppy symbolises many things across the world but perhaps most famously as the red poppy of wartime remembrance. This poppy is actually a common weed in Europe and is found in many locations, including Flanders Fields, the setting for the famous poem by Canadian surgeon and soldier, John McCrae, “In Flanders Fields”.
