An old Italian farmhouse stands on a cedar tree lined hill in the peaceful Pienza region of Tuscany. Fields of gold surround the area with a traditional rustic atmosphere to the landscape scene.
Pienza is a town in the province of Siena, in the Val d'Orcia of Tuscany and stands between the towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino. It described as the 'touchstone of Renaissance urbanism'. In 1996, UNESCO declared the town a World Heritage Site, and in 2004 the entire valley, the Val d'Orcia, was included on the list of UNESCO's World Cultural Landscapes.
