The lake District in Cumbria is one of the most beautiful places in the UK, if not the world. Full of peaceful lakes, imposing peaks and enchanted forests, the Lake District has been a favourite destination for artists and photographers for many years.
Derwent Water is a great example of what you can find up in the Lakeland landscape with a beautiful mountainous backdrop and accessible pebbled shores. Located south of the market town of Keswick, Derwent Water is also known as Keswick’s lake. It has many activities along its shores, from hiking and cycling to wooded fells and boat rides. Derwent Water is said to have been Beatrix Potter’s favourite lake.
This blue-themed panoramic print on canvas captures the serenity of the lake early in the morning with the calm waters creating a subtle reflection of the surrounding peaks.
